In 1962, Paul Haberle founded Atomic Industries that focused on providing screw machine parts to industries in the Chicagoland area. In 1982, Haberle partnered with private investors to create HFR Precision Machining and moved the operation from Cicero to Sugar Grove. In concert with his partners, Haberle expanded HFR’s focus to include specialized machining of scientific test specimens. These products required exacting standards and consistancy in manufacturing processes. The demands of these products helped to build the manufacturing expertise that HFR draws on today to meet our customer’s demands. In the mid 1990’s, Richard Tazbaz joined HFR. Under Rich’s leadership, HFR began to grow from a sleepy little company to a strong market competitor. The facility was expanded to 50,000 sq feet and new technology equipment was added to enhance HFR’s manufacturing capabilities. In the late 1990s, HFR expanded its supply chain globally to seek value for HFR’s customers wherever it can be found. In addition to still providing test specimens, HFR supplies customers in the electronics, food service, transportation, military, and consumer product markets. HFR continues to seek partners that can utilize our manufacturing expertise and develop long term relationships that benefit both customer and supplier. |
